Green light for covered outdoor learning area at Manning Valley Anglican College

The Federal Coalition Government has announced funding towards a new covered outdoor learning area at Cundletown’s Manning Valley Anglican College.

Federal Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie said $16,189 in Federal funding towards the $40,189 project.

“This is a great partnership project that has received contributions from the school, the parents and friends association and through the Stronger Communities programme of the Australian Government,” Dr Gillespie said.

“The new covered outdoor learning area will provide an all-weather space for outdoor classes and events, as well as an extended area for students to undertake outdoor activities out of the sun and rain during their recess and lunch periods and I am delighted out government has been able to lend a hand to such a worthwhile project.”

The Australian Government’s Stronger Communities programme assists with the development of small capital projects that deliver social benefits by supporting community participation, while also contributing to the vibrancy and viability of local communities.

Grants of between $5,000 and $20,000 are available under the programme. More information about the Stronger Communities programme can be found at
